I’m not sure what all I’ve written on this blog, but something that you may or may not know is that I have PCOS (poly cystic ovarian syndrome). If you want to know more here is the Wikipedia page.
Essentially I have not had a period in just over 3 years. I have cysts on my ovaries and there is a good possibility that I will have difficulties becoming pregnant and keeping a baby.
It’s unfortunate because I have always wanted five kids and have always looked forward to being pregnant, but hey, who knows what the future holds. People with PCOS do have children.
The only bad part of having PCOS that affects me is having terrible cramps. These cramps used to only occur when I was meant to be on my period, but now I have them about 4 or 5 days of the week. A few doctors have also mentioned the possibility of endometriosis.
I have been having lots of doctors appointments to figure everything out. So I will just have to wait and see!
Recently I was contacted by the companyVeeda. If you haven’t heard of them they are a feminine care brand with products in Canada, the UK, the USA, Brazil and Taiwan. They create feminine products with no dyes, chemicals or synthetics.
I was so excited to hear that. Growing up I was always so scared of developing TSS, or toxic shock syndrome, from using tampons, but have always hated pads. Due to how clean and natural Veeda products are, they greatly reduce the risk of TSS! In fact, through Veeda I learned that there has never been a case of TSS from a 100% cotton tampon.
When I looked into their brand more, I learned a lot.
Not only are all of the products affordable, they are FDA approved, 100% natural cotton (so they are super soft!), hypoallergenic and biodegradable.
Veeda also creates a lot of different products for all types of persons. Everyone has their own preferences so by using Veeda products, not only are you using products better for yourself and the environment, you don’t have to compromise the comfort that you prefer. They create a TON of products, ranging from pads, to tampons available with both an applicator or applicator free.
I let them know that although I do not have a regular period cycle, I do occasionally spot (have a small amount of blood). I have not had to use a tampon in over 3 years because my spotting is very light, so Veeda kindly offered to send me regular pads and thin panty liners, just in case.
I was so excited when the pads and panty liners arrived. They are pretty, simple, and so very soft! They fit very comfortable and do not make me feel at all like I’m wearing a pad. Which I LOVE!
I am so happy and excited to be able to tell you about Veeda. Period health is really important to me, and I want every person who has a period to have the best quality and natural products that they can have. Not only is Veeda so natural and comfy, it is also really affordable, another thing important to me!
If you’re interested in Veeda (and I highly recommend them!) then you can check out their website here.
